Dr. Zeenat Afshan is a renowned scholar, researcher and critic of Urdu from Pakistan. She is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urdu. Federal Urdu University of Arts 'Science and Technology in Islamabad since 2022. She worked as Assistant Professor in Urdu at University of Education Faisalabad Campus (2013-2016 & 2019-2022) and Fatima Jinnah Woman University Rawalpindi 2016-2019. She is author of four books : 1-Jahan i Iftikhar 2- Dr Ghulam Mustafa Khan. 3- Urdu Fiction Par Suqoot i Dhaka kay asarat. And 4-Urdu Adab Ki Tasweeri Tareekh. Her 22 research articles published in different renowned HEC approved Research Journals. She supervised research thesis of 41 students of M.A. Urdu and 45 students of M.Phil Urdu. She attended 21 International and National Conferences, Seminars and Workshops on different important literary and cultural topics.

Research Interests: Urdu literature and language.
