Dr. Nauman Qadeer (PhD, Senior Member IEEE) is serving as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology (FUUAST), Islamabad, Pakistan. Since February 2024, he has also been entrusted with the additional responsibility of Director IT for the Islamabad Campus. He has been serving at FUUAST since 2005. Prior to joining FUUAST, he served as a Lecturer in Computer Science at the University of Agriculture Faisalabad from 2002 to 2005. Dr. Qadeer earned his PhD in Computer Science from COMSATS University Islamabad in 2023. His doctoral research focused on the development of an end-to-end intelligent robotic perception and prediction framework for cognitive catching robots in Industry 4.0 in-plant logistics environments. He also holds an MS in Computer Science (with Distinction) from University of Agriculture Faisalabad, awarded in 2004. Earlier, he secured a Gold Medal for achieving first position in the MSc (Computer Science) program at Bahauddin Zakariya University in 2001. Dr. Qadeer has authored 12 journal publications, including 10 papers published in HEC's highest-ranked W-category journals, along with 7 international conference papers and a book chapter. His published research has accumulated a combined impact factor of approximately 40. He has also served as an invited peer reviewer for more than 120 manuscripts submitted to over 20 reputable Web of Science-indexed international journals. His research interests include Cognitive Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, Pattern Recognition, Intelligent Robotic Systems, Intelligent Video Surveillance, and Smart City Applications. He is a Senior Member of the IEEE and an active member of the IEEE Consultants Network, the IEEE Robotics and Automation Society, and the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society.
