Dr. Ihtsham Ul Haq Padda is a distinguished economist and academic from Pakistan. He currently serves as the Head of the Department of Economics at the Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Islamabad. He has also served as the Incharge of the FUUAST Islamabad Campus. In addition, Dr. Padda is a Higher Education Commission (HEC) approved PhD supervisor and the Founding Editor of the Journal of Economic Sciences, published by FUUAST. Dr. Padda’s contributions to economic research have been widely recognized. In 2020, the Country Director of the World Bank acknowledged his work for its significant impact in the field of economics. He received FUUAST’s Best Paper Award in 2019 for his outstanding research achievements. Among other honors, he has been awarded an HEC PhD Fellowship and earned distinction in his M.Ed. program. He has co-authored books, including Economics of Development: Toward Inclusive Growth, and contributed a chapter on customer perception and green banking practices in the book Disruptive Technologies and Eco-Innovation for Sustainable Development. In addition, he has published numerous research articles in peer-reviewed journals. Dr. Padda has led multiple research initiatives, serving as Principal Investigator and Team Lead on several projects of national relevance. He has also actively contributed to policy discussions and development through his participation in various meetings with the Planning Commission of Pakistan.
