Dr. Ihtsham Ul Haq Padda is a renowned economist and academician from Pakistan. He is currently serving as the Head of Department and HEC Approved Supervisor in the Department of Economics at the Federal Urdu University for Arts Science and Technology (FUUAST) in Islamabad. He is also the Editor of the Journal of Economic Sciences, which is published by FUUAST. In addition, he is the Incharge Campus of the FUUAST Islamabad Campus.
Dr Padda's research has been recognized by various institutions, including the Country Director of World Bank in 2020, who acknowledged his contribution to the field of economics. In 2019, he received the Best Paper Award from FUUAST for his exceptional research work. He also received the HEC Fellowship for PhD and a Silver Medal in M.Ed.
Dr Padda has co-authored several books, including Economics of Development: Toward Inclusive Growth, which he wrote in collaboration with SNH Naqvi. He has also authored a book chapter on customer perception and awareness of green banking practices, which was published in the book Disruptive Technologies and Eco-Innovation for Sustainable Development.
Dr Padda has been involved in various research projects, including The Impact of CPEC on Bilateral Trade between China and Pakistan, which was funded by the Centre of Excellence-CPEC in 2017-2018. He served as the Principal Investigator for this project.
