Dr. Faisal Javaid is currently serving as Assistant Professor and Head of the Department of International Relations and Mass Communication at FUUAST, Islamabad. He also holds the position of Deputy Director at the Office of Research Innovation and Commercialization (ORIC). He completed his Ph.D. in International Relations in 2015 and a Post-doctorate from Columbia University’s Harriman Institute (2016–2017). With over 15 years of teaching and research experience, Dr. Javaid has authored three books—including Bridging Horizons: Unraveling the Enigma of Connectivity between Pakistan and Central Asia—and published 32 research papers. He has contributed to several international book chapters and presented extensively at International conferences. He is affiliated with international research projects and has developed academic partnerships with several International Universities. He is also a member of leading international associations, including ISA, IPSA, MPSA, APSA, and APT.


Research Interests: Regional connectivity between Pakistan, Central Asia, and Eurasia, with a particular focus on Russia.
