Dr.Attia Anwar Zoon holds a Ph.D. in English Linguistics from National University of Modern Languages (NUML) Islamabad. She has around 20 years of teaching experience at university level. Her key research areas are Sociolinguistics - Language ,Gender and Identity, Critical Discourse Analysis and Ecolinguistics. She is alumna of prestigious fellowship: Study in the US Institutes (SUSI) at Multicultural Institute of American Studies -New York University-NY-June 2019. Dr.Zoon is also a commonwealth Professional fellow on Gender Sensitive Disaster Management in Conflict affected Regions-June-July 2015.Her research work has been published in a number of national and international journals.

Research Interests: Sociolinguistics:Language, Gender and Identity, Discourse Analysis/Critical Discourse Analysis, Eco linguistics.
