Introduction

The Final Year Project (FYP) is an essential academic requirement for undergraduate students of the Bachelor of Science in Computer Science (BSCS) program at Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology. It provides students with an opportunity to apply theoretical knowledge and practical skills acquired during their coursework to solve real-world problems through research, development, and innovation. BSCS students select their Final Year Project topic during the 7th semester under the supervision of assigned faculty members. The project is then developed, implemented, and completed during the 8th semester. Throughout this period, students perform research, system design, development, testing, documentation, and final presentation of their projects. The Final Year Project serves as a prerequisite for the completion of the BSCS degree and plays a vital role in evaluating students’ technical competencies, problem-solving abilities, teamwork, creativity, and project management skills. Students are encouraged to develop innovative and industry-oriented solutions in various domains of computer science and information technology. At the completion stage, projects are formally evaluated by faculty members and external evaluators through presentations and demonstrations to assess the quality, originality, and technical implementation of the proposed solutions.
