Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science and Technology (FUUAST), Islamabad is committed to promote highest quality education at affordable cost in the Federal Capital of Pakistan. The university has a short history of 19 years and has three campuses situated at Karachi and Islamabad. The principal seat of the university at Islamabad commenced its teaching programs in November 2003. It provides professional degree courses in the field of Electrical / Electronic Engineering, Computer Sciences, Business and Commerce besides other disciplines of basic & applied sciences.

By recognizing the importance of Job Placement for our students, the department of Placement Bureau was established to cater the job placement needs of students in 2018. The bureau vision is to act as a support center with the objective of enhancing student employability. Placement bureau is engaged in designing and offering programs for student with the objective to provide industrial exposure, skill enhancement, personal and professional grooming with upto-date knowledge and experience. Placement bureau organize career counselling sessions, seminars, workshops, focus groups, panel discussion, industrial visits and internships for students.

The primary focus is to develop a system of four interdependent work specializations. These are;

The Bureau’s purpose is to engage in job placement activities with the aim of enhancing students’ employability. This encompasses both self-employability and organizational employability. The bureau has taken the initiative to explore job opportunities, arrange internships, establish industry connections, facilitate industrial visits, and launch student development programs. The Placement Bureau successfully organized its first Job fair on the 15th of January 2019 at the Islamabad Campus, which saw the participation of more than 30 companies. . Despite a two-year gap due to COVID-19, the Placement Bureau organized its second on-campus job fair on the 31st of March 2022 at the new University Campus in Islamabad. This event saw the participation of 37 companies. The third Job Fair took place in November 2022, with the involvement of 25 companies who conducted interviews. The Placement Bureau operates with limited resources but strives to prioritize student development and employability as integral components of our academic activities.
