Our experienced faculty is the strong pillar of the department whose focus is to empower a diverse community of students to nurture their capabilities, transform their lives and find success through high quality teaching and learning. One of the core missions of the department is to conduct first-hand research in Economics. We strive to maintain emphasis on quality teaching in economic theory and quantitative methods of economic analysis & research in line with global standards. The Faculty aims at producing graduates suitable for the emerging needs of the market. The program Mission of the Department of economics is to train graduated in economics who are well grounded in economy theory and its applications to real life situation. Department offers programs of studies leading to B.S, M.Sc., M. Phil and Ph.D degrees in Economics. The study programs are intended to inculcate a spirit of independent learning.
